TIPS FOR THE RACE WEEKEND

Check out these useful tips for getting the most out of the Catalan Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.

  • The first piece of advice is obvious - get there early. Especially on the first race day on Sunday. It's better to enjoy the atmosphere of the race on the circuit than waiting in the queue, don't you think? The ideal time to arrive at the circuit is around 9 am.
  • Plan what you want to do and where you want to go. If you're going with friends, bear in mind that the circuit's mobile phone network is very busy, especially on Sundays, and phone and data services may not work. Always arrange a checkpoint where you can meet if you get lost.
  • For many Spanish fans, the Catalan MotoGP race is truly a home race. It is from the Barcelona area that a large part of the best riders in the starting field come from. How to take advantage of this? Simple - look at the tickets and find where the riders you support congregate. You'll definitely experience the best atmosphere in the stands cheering for Marc Márquez, but other stands will also have an incredible atmosphere, cheering on riders like Joan Mir or siblings Aleix and Pol Espargaro.
  • As well the Spaniards, the race is also popular with Italian fans and many fans of reigning MotoGP Champion Fabio Quartararo travel from France to watch. Follow the groups on social media to find the best places to cheer. You'll also get a clue from our grandstand map. However, you'll always find your "blood type" in the natural grandstand with the best general admission ticket.
